Family Pillar Award
Created in 2008, the Family Pillar Award is a collaboration between Parent and Family Relations and the Office of Minority Student Affairs (OMSA).
The award is given in honor of the significant contributions, sacrifices, and support that family member make in the lives of University of Rochester seniors supported by OMSA. Students submit a nomination essay about a family member who has been a significant influence in their lives. The Family Pillar Award is presented during the annual OMSA Senior Dinner.
