CANDLELIT CLASS: New students gathered on the Eastman Quadrangle for the annual candlelight ceremony, one of several orientation events welcoming the Class of 2020 in August. The 1,368 students come from 49 states—all but Alaska—and 90 nations. At the Eastman School of Music, 140 new undergraduates arrived this fall.
