Undergraduate Majors, Minors, and Certificates
Every undergraduate must complete the requirements of a major. While most students complete authorized clusters to complement their majors (see Clusters for more details), students may, in addition to their major, select one or more minors and a second major, and may choose to complete one of the interdepartmental certificate programs noted below.
The Center for Academic Support can provide more detailed information regarding the process students use to declare majors, minors, and certificates.

Certificate programs may be taken independently of majors and minors. They are meant to supplement a student's chosen area of study and to formalize into a coherent whole courses taken outside the area of major. Most certificate programs are interdepartmental in nature. Note also the Citation that is listed here.
