LEAP Family Access
What is LEAP?
LEAP is an exciting learning opportunity for kindergarten through third grade RCSD students. LEAP sessions take place during the school year on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at LeChase Hall on the University of Rochester campus.
During LEAP, students work with University of Rochester tutors in an active, creative, flexible, and open learning environment. Emphasis is placed on developing the literacy, math, science, and social skills necessary to succeed in school.
Every LEAP participant is partnered with one University of Rochester undergraduate student who will serve as their tutor throughout the whole year. Your child will develop a close, positive mentor relationship with their tutor. This individual mentoring relationship allows tutors to discover the unique interests and abilities of their specific partner child, and to cater sessions to their particular learning goals.
