Monica Nair

Lead Coach

    Hello everyone! My name is Monica and I am a junior studying Computational Biology and Spanish. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, photography, and trying new foods! I am currently studying abroad in Santiago, Chile, but when I return to Rochester this spring I am excited to join TOUR as a Lead Coach. My experience in TOUR as a coach last year was incredible and I had so much fun getting to know the staff and students at the Halloween party, Valentine's Day party and end of the year lunch. I can't wait to meet all of you this spring!

Annie Forestiere

    Hello everyone! My name is Annie Forestiere and I am the newest Lead Coach for the TOUR program. I have been with TOUR for a little over a year now and love all of the great work that the program does! I am a senior studying Business and Voice Performance here at the University of Rochester, and I will be graduating with a Citation for Achievement in College Leadership as well. On campus I work as a Community Assistant in Brooks Crossing, as well as a Speaking Fellow with the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Center. I am also an active member of the Chamber Singers choral ensemble, and the Vice President of my professional fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. I am very excited to start my final year with TOUR and cannot wait to see what this year will bring!

    Hello! My name is Corey Chang, and I am a Junior majoring in Economics on the Pre-Med track. On campus, I am involved in the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program as a Writing Fellow, the Student Associations Appropriations Committee within student government, and She's the First, an educational, community service based organization. In my free time, I love reading, working out, and spending time with my friends. I am so excited to be a part of TOUR, and look forward to working with other students!

    Hi! My name is Rachel Allison. I’m in the Class of 2019 and am majoring in Economics and triple minoring in Business, French, and Classics. I am super excited to join TOUR!     Hi! My name is Yingju Chen but I just go by Lulu. I am a sophomore who is double majoring in Brain and Cognitive Science(BCS) and Psychology with a cluster in ASL. I am super excited to join TOUR and meet everyone! In my free time I enjoy exploring campus, relaxing with a good read, and just having downtime with friends.

    Hey there! My name is Shireen Bhullar and I am a sophomore majoring in Financial Economics. I am from Northern India and the state of Punjab known for its rich culture. At University of Rochester, I got the amazing chance to stay connected with my culture through the dance team, Rochester Bhangra. I am also a member of Sihir (the bellydancing ensemble) and ASL club. Besides dance, I absolutely love watching movies, traveling and DOGS!!! In my decently big family, I have a lot of younger cousins that I love to spend time with, help complete homework and I am always excited to teach them new stuff. I love my kiddos and I'm sure the patience they've taught me will help me work better with TOUR students.

    Hello! My name is Sofia Azmal and I am a sophmore majoring in Public Health and English. In Rochester, I have been and am currently involved with The Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence and the Westside Farmers Market, both located in the southwestern Rochester community. During my studies, I look forward to finding and accomplishing new forms of volunteer service and community outreach through Rochester city.

On campus, I am involved in Women's Club Soccer, UR SEGway and I'm on the executive board for both clubs!     Hi everyone! I am a rising sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, my major will most likely be Public Health and I am a minor in Dance. I have had experience in tutoring before because I really enjoy working with people. I am also the business manger of People's First Initiative, where I first had the chance of meeting TOUR students. I have truly enjoyed being a part of PFI and am really looking forward to be an academic coach and working with everyone.

Megan Kibler

    Hi everyone! My name is Megan Kibler, and I'm a senior double majoring in Music and Psychology at the U of R. I'm aspiring to become a music therapist, and do clinical work as well as conduct research in the new and expansive field of music therapy. I'm primarily a vocalist (classically trained) and also play piano and guitar, often experimenting with various genres and styles. I perform in groups on campus and in the Rochester community. I additionally assist several music therapists at various facilities in the area, and have helped teach and engage with children and young adults with developmental challenges. I also have experience with middle age and elderly patients with psychiatric diagnoses. I am really looking forward to the experience of being a TOUR academic mentor this year!     Hello! My name is Sol and I’m a junior studying Brain and Cognitive Sciences, with minors in Spanish and Social & Emotional Development. Outside of academia, I love to read and go hiking, especially after eating a good burger or two! Music is also a fun outlet of my time and energy - I take piano lessons at the Eastman School of Music and enjoy playing violin in chamber ensembles like orchestra. As a first year coach in the TOUR program, I am genuinely excited to work with fellow U of R students!

    Hi! I'm Hannah Parker and I'm a junior majoring in math here at U of R! This is my first year working with TOUR and I'm really excited! On campus I'm part of ICLC (Inter Class Living Community, a group that focuses on creating an environment on campus where folks of different class years can get to know each other) and Upward Bound (a program that supports Rochester high school students in their collegiate journey). Additionally, this summer I taught math, social studies, and debate to middle school students at the East Harlem School.

    Hi Everyone! My name is Maria Yidi and I am a junior majoring in Psychology and Public Health. I enjoy studying with friends and I am always looking for fun and different ways to learn, so I am excited to work in TOUR as an academic coach! In my free time, I enjoy being in the club PAWS working at therapy dog events and volunteering with local animal shelters. I am also involved in research in the psychology department. I have worked in the positive youth development lab and at the achievement and motivation lab.

    Hi! I was born and raised just outside of Tampa, Florida. My passions include American Sign Language, painting, reading, traveling, singing, and all things Disney. I'm always interested in learning new things, especially about cultures other than mine!
