Eastman Institute for Oral Health
- Unique opportunities were provided for advanced, specialized dental education and training, and for expanding areas of study such as delivering care to older adults that helps manage chronic diseases and degenerative illnesses.
- More than 200 teledentistry visits were performed through community outreach dentistry across upstate New York. These took place in clinics, hospitals, and community health centers across Rochester, and in mobile vans that care for children in city schools and rural areas, and care for children and adults with physical, developmental, or intellectual disabilities, as well as other medically challenging conditions.
- Renovation of facilities in Eastman’s main campus, in Strong Memorial Hospital, and in our Community Dentistry Clinic in downtown Rochester helped provide improved access to vulnerable populations including the elderly, low-income children and adults, those with developmental disabilities, and people with medically complex conditions, such as cancer and various immune deficiencies.
