Financial Systems Support

The Financial Systems and Operations Support team is responsible for overseeing the financial systems of the University and approving of any enhancements or changes to the financial systems.  The primary financial systems are UR Financials and UR Budget, however additional applications such as the Cognos Financial Data Warehouse, UR Gems, and part of the UR Procurement are managed by the team.  In addition, Jim co-chairs the EA Governance – Finance committee which is responsible for recommending future financial system projects.

The Financial Systems and Operations Support team is the also the functional steward for Workday and ensures that all configuration changes are tested and verified prior to being introduced into production.

Cognos Finance Data Warehouse – Revenue and Expense reports

UR Gems – Encumbrance accounting system

UR Space – Tracks physical space utilization and equipment inventory at the University, including who is assigned to a space, its square footage, and active equipment.
