Academics
Innovative academic programs and outstanding faculty who are active scholars and teachers provide the foundation for a rich learning environment for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Undergraduate Programs
Majors | Minors | Certificates
Undergraduate students base their learning on their individual interests—receiving guidance to pursue both a broad liberal education and the specialized fields of their choice—as they learn to prioritize their interests and take pride in their decisions.
Through the Rochester Curriculum, students at the University of Rochester enrich their chosen major with courses in other disciplines. Many choose minors and second majors and earn interdisciplinary certificates in complementary fields.
Graduate Programs
Graduate students work closely with distinguished scholars in their chosen fields of inquiry as they develop independence as creative thinkers and investigators. The close interactions among various departments in Arts, Sciences and Engineering and with the other schools of the University also provide an outstanding environment for enriched graduate training.
