Zipcar...wheels when you want them

Zipcar provides the freedom of car ownership - the ability to get off campus for shopping, errands, entertainment or
road trips (weekend trips or even trips home) without the hassle and cost of owning a car.  Plus less cars on campus is better for the environment.  Reservations include fuel, insurance,reserved parking and roadside assistance. 

You buy pizza by the slice...download music by the song...why not pay for the car by the drive?

How Does Zipcar Work?

1. Join

Apply online. Once you're approved, you get your very own Zipcard.

TO BE ELIGIBLE YOU MUST:

• Be a student, faculty or staff of the University of Rochester
• Be 18+ with three years of good driving history

2. Reserve

Reserve one (1) of our cars - for a few hours or the entire day.

• Honda Civic - "Conze" (RC)

3. Unlock

Walk to the car, then hold your Zipcard to the windshield. The doors will unlock, and off you go! (Your Zipcard will only open the car you've reserved during the time you've reserved it which means no one else can open your Zipcar during that time).

4. Drive!

Drive away and return to the same reserved parking spot at the end of your reservation. And best yet—Gas, insurance, reserved parking and XM Satellite Radio are included too, as well as 24/7 roadside assistance if needed.
