Class of 2014: Freshman Flashback
Today's graduating Class of 2014 were freshmen way back in 2010. This photo gallery is a flashback to four years ago and the Class of 2014's earliest days on River Campus and at the Eastman School of Music.

Brigitta Gehl is serenaded by the YellowJackets a capella group as she and other incoming freshmen and their families assemble in Park Lot. During her four years here, Gehl served as an editor for the Journal for Undergraduate Research, worked in professor Lei Xu's lab at the Medical Center investigating the mechanism behind the spread of cancer cells in the body, and was a sister in the Chi Omega sorority.
Kevin Ganley of Buffalo, N.Y., unpacks in his room in Sue B. As a senior, the financial economics major was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and he has served as an officer for the Club Tennis team.
Tristam Mizak of Geneva, Ohio, reads his orientation booklet as his brother Walter sleeps in the back seat. Mizak, an international relations major, has been a member of the Simulation Gaming Association, Model United Nations, Fencing Club, and College Republicans.
Sarah Alpert-Gillis, left, of Webster, N.Y., and Danielle Joyner of Brooklyn, N.Y., join the YellowJackets as they dance to tunes by the University Pep Band. Alpert-Gillis was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honors society as a senior, and has been a member of the Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Neuroscience Undergraduate Council, the Ballroom Dance Club, and the Pan-African Students Association. Joyner—a health, behavior, and society major—served as an officer in the Black Students Union, received a research grant from the Susan B. Anthony Institute for Gender and Women's Studies, and was a member of the Xclusive Step Team.

As a brain and cognitive sciences major and computer science minor, Kremer's undergraduate research focused on visual aids and the teaching of English to non-native speakers. He was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society in his senior year, and will return to campus next year as a Take Five scholar.
Josey Topolski, center, of Tonawanda, N.Y., is joined by father Don, sister Grace, 6, and mother Heidi, as she moves into Sue B. The chemistry major served on the Undergraduate Chemistry Council and was a member of the Ballroom Dance and Swing Dance clubs.

After waiting for a blue bin, violin major Crystal Qi and her father Gung Zhi Qi are helped by harp major Molly O'Roark. Qi was a member of the Eastman Philharmonia Orchestra.
Tuba major Tara Fayazi of Secaucus, N.J., is helped by trombone major Casey O’Neil and her mom Carmella Baynes, as she moves in to the Eastman School of Music's downtown campus. Fayazi served as vice president of her Senior Class Council and will work as an Arts Leadership Program fellow this summer, focusing on music therapy.
