Academic Administration: Accreditation and Assessment
The University of Rochester continuously monitors its progress in fulfilling its vision as a University of the Highest Order. The Office of Academic Administration supports the vision and the institutional motto, Meliora – ever better, by facilitating assessment practices to inform evidence-based change.
Activities of the office include the following:
- Convenes the University Committee on Educational Effectiveness Assessment to share best practices across the institution and support continuous improvement of teaching and learning
- Provides support and guidance for accreditation reporting
- Provides guidance and support for faculty on new program development – from drafting proposals to filing for state approvals
- Provides guidance and support for assessing and documenting continuous improvement efforts across the University
