UHS is discontinuing the provision of health care services to University retirees, employees, and their family members. This decision was made after careful evaluation of our health services. We are most strongly positioned to provide adolescent and young-adult focused comprehensive care and need to prioritize our resources to serve our student and trainee populations. Additionally, UHS and UR Medicine use different patient data systems, which can create challenges when it comes to coordinating adult care across multiple providers.
UHS leaders are working with the University of Rochester Primary Care Network to ensure a smooth transition and help patients establish care with providers in the Rochester area. Alternatively, patients can find a new provider independently by contacting the Primary Care Physician Referral Line ((585) 784-8891).
