Sexual and Reproductive Health
Primary Care provides comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care and referrals to all students. Services include pregnancy and STI testing, contraception, PrEP/PEP, and pelvic exams.
Confidential Billing
University Health Service Primary Care offers confidential billing. If you are concerned about services being disclosed on your parent’s or guardian’s insurance bill, please ask about options for payment or alternate routing for your explanation of benefits (EOB) at the time of service. You can request confidential billing and pay out-of-pocket for STI and pregnancy testing which is affordable. If you are older than 18, you may also call your insurance to request that your personal health insurance bill be sent to your Rochester address.
Gender Health
Primary Care and the University Counseling Center provide gender-affirming care and referrals for specialists, helping students navigate their transition. The UR Student Health Plan (Aetna) covers most gender-affirming services and medications. If you are not on the UR student health plan, costs, coverage, and requirements vary.
