COVID-19 Information for Spring 2024

All new and returning University of Rochester students are encouraged to receive the updated COVID-19 vaccine. However, there is no COVID-19 vaccine requirement.

COVID-19 Self-test Kits

Test kits are available 24/7 at no cost in our vending machine located in the outer lobby of the UHS River Campus location or you can call our office at (585) 275-2662 to request test kits as needed. Test kits are also available during office hours at the Eastman School of Music UHS office.

COVID-19 Protocol

If you were exposed to COVID-19:

• The current recommendations are to treat COVID-19 in a similar manner to other upper respiratory infections (like flu and RSV).
• When you are sick, the recommendations are to initially stay home and away from others.
• You can resume normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both symptoms are improving and there is no fever (without use of medications).
• You should wear a mask while around others until at least 10 days after your most recent exposure. Monitor for symptoms of COVID-19, which can develop up to 10 days after exposure.
• Once both of those conditions are met, you can leave home but should take added precautions for at least 5 days. These added precautions include masking, physical distancing, hand hygiene, and testing for infections.
