2025 Employee Experience Survey: October 6-20

We are excited for the launch of the 2025 Employee Experience Survey on Monday, October 6. For the first time, faculty and staff across the University including academic units, the medical center, central administration, LLE and the MAG will have an opportunity to share their feedback on a variety of topics related to their work experience.

Faculty and staff success are a key goal of our Boundless Possibilities Strategic plan. Key learnings from this survey will help us to shape action plans to improve our work environment, guide long-term culture strategies, and support organizational performance and growth.

A few important details:

  • On October 6, 2025, eligible employees* will receive an email with a personalized link to participate in the 2025 Employee Experience Survey from EmployeeExperienceSurvey@notices.Rochester.edu.At launch, the HR website will also contain a QR code. When using the QR code, you will receive a security prompt to enter your single sign-on (SSO) Active Directory credentials. SSO is used to ensure that individuals only respond once, summarize results, and to pick prize winners.

  • Time Commitment: The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.  
  • Prizes: Employees who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for chances to win prizes.

*Eligible employees include active, regular full-time and part-time faculty, staff, residents, fellows, and postdoctoral appointees who have been employed by the University of Rochester for at least 30 days. TARs who worked an average of 20 hours per week will also be included. Employees on leave and student workers are not included.

The survey is conducted by an outside consulting firm and individual responses will not be shared to ensure confidentiality.

Next Steps

Survey results will be aggregated and a composite summary will be shared with departments with at least five responses. In January, we will begin the action planning process based on the key learnings from the survey. By sharing your perspective, you play a key role in helping to shape our future.
