UR Stars, the University’s employee recognition program, proudly launches the new “We See How You Shine,” spotlight series. Every day, our colleagues create moments of excellence, compassion, and inspiration. Now, UR Stars will celebrate those moments, big and small.

Get started

  • Nominate a current UR Stars recipient for a spotlight by emailing urstars@rochester.edu
    or recognize a coworker on the UR Stars platform and then nominate.

    • Faculty or staff members can be nominated by peers, leaders, or teams.
  • Open the @Rochester newsletter every Friday to learn more about the unique contributions and positive impacts of our employees through the employee spotlights we have highlighted.
  • Don’t forget to send a UR Stars e-card for a fun, quick moment of recognition. To start celebrating, visit https://urstars.rochester.edu/. See a sampling below. (In November, a new round of creative e-cards will be available to show your gratitude.)

UR Stars recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. Since June 2024, 45,000 UR Stars recognitions have been sent to faculty and staff across the University.

Whether it’s a quiet act of kindness or a big achievement, every UR Stars recognition matters.
