Open Enrollment is coming!

Open enrollment, coming soon

Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to review and update your benefits. Once the window closes, most changes must wait until the following year unless you experience a qualifying life event. Now is your chance to prepare.

Now’s the time to prepare! Open Enrollment is the only time each year when you can:

  • Enroll in or change your healthcare plan
  • Update dental, vision and legal coverage
  • Contribute to your flexible spending account
  • Adjust life insurance coverage

“It’s important to prepare for Open Enrollment, so you can approach it with confidence,” added Barrett.

Top four tips to prep for Open Enrollment

Julie Coyne
“Look at the big picture. Taking time to think through and review your options can help you make the most out of your University benefits,” said Julie Coyne, Assistant Director, University Benefits.
  1. Reflect on your needs. Ask yourself questions like:
    • What’s happening in my life?
    • Do I anticipate any changes like a child needing braces, a new baby or retirement planning?
    • Am I maximizing my FSA or HSA contributions?
  2. Review your current benefits.
    • Log into myURHR Workday and look at your current elections.
    • Think through possible adjustments.
    • Consider upcoming health or financial needs.
  3. Get familiar with enrolling.
  4. Once Open Enrollment begins October 27, use the resources available to complete it by November 10.
