University of Rochester Retirement Program: New service announcement

As part of our ongoing commitment to your well-being, the University Retirement program is preparing to launch a valuable new service, MMA Prosper Wise to help with retirement planning. Launching this summer, this service provides planning and support tools to guide you and your family’s financial goals in retirement. MMA Prosper Wise provides access to educational resources to help you reach your financial goals in retirement, a custom website with retirement planning tools, and the ability to meet one-on-one with a financial coach. TIAA, the recordkeeper, will continue providing the same services participants currently receive in the University Retirement Program.

Special message from Douglas W. Phillips, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, and Chairman, Retirement Plan Committee:

On behalf of the Retirement Plan Committee, I encourage you to take advantage of a valuable new service now available through the University’s retirement plan. Offered by Marsh & McClellan Agency (MMA), an independent investment advisory firm, this service provides professional, unbiased financial advice to all eligible employees—regardless of whether they have a balance in the plan. While TIAA remains the plan’s recordkeeper and continues to provide existing support, MMA offers a complementary perspective. Participants may also choose to rely solely on MMA for financial guidance if they prefer.

I encourage you to read the enclosed materials and register for an introductory appointment with MMA.

Thank you for all that you do for the University and the people we serve.
