Hiring Your Candidate
- Once the final candidate has been identified, the hiring manager should contact their HR liaison to discuss the salary to be offered. HR will work with the department to review the application and resume as well as compare incumbent experience and education with the applicant information in determining the appropriate salary.
- Once the hiring manager and HR are in agreement regarding the salary and the University application has been completed the offer can be made by the Hiring manager. Offer letters will be provided to the candidate by HR.
- The manager should direct the applicant to contact the HR Liaison to take care of hire paperwork (I9, W4, Criminal Check form, etc) and to schedule orientation and pre-employment physicals if required.
