The Health Assessment is now Available!

Step One: Participate in a free biometric screening.

  • Faculty, staff and spouses/domestic partners who are enrolled in the University Health Care Plans are eligible to participate

Step Two: Complete a confidential online Health Assessment

  • Faculty and staff will receive $100 for completing the Health Assessment (credited to their paycheck)

The biometric screenings and the Health Assessment will be administered by Third Party Vendors. Personal health information that is collected during the biometric screenings and the Health Assessment is confidential and will not be shared with the University of Rochester.

May 21st is National Employee Health and Fitness Day

National Employee Health and Fitness Day is sponsored by the National Association for health and Fitness (NAHF).  This day encourages employees to take advantage of worksite wellness programs including America on the Move and Eat Well Live Well.  To discover all of the benefits of wellness in the workplace visit http://www.physicalfitness.org/.

May is Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month

During the month of May, the Academy of Dermatology sponsors Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month. In order to prevent skin cancer, many physicians in the area are offering free skin cancer screenings. These simple screenings can prevent melanoma, a serious cancer. About Us

Well·U is operated primarily through the Human Resources – Benefits Office, and is supported by a multidisciplinary Design Team that includes representatives from the Employee Assistance Program, University Health Service, Nursing Practice, Facilities, School of Nursing, the Center for Community Health, and the URMC Fitness and Wellness Center. Membership on this Design Team will continue to grow and diversify in the coming months and years.
