In our continuing efforts to promote wellness in the workplace, we are proud to introduce the Well-U Healthy Holiday Habits Campaign. This campaign has been designed to help employees prepare for the holidays before they begin, in an effort to limit the stress of the season.
This campaign is aimed at employees learning new skills and taking in new experiences to help them through one of the most challenging periods of the year. In this manner, we seek to boost employee vitality and overall well-being so this special time of year can be enjoyed to the fullest with family and friends!

During the campaign, certain healthy habits will be the theme driving the activities of that particular week.  Themes ranging from Self Care to Exploring New Experiences will be highlighted.  Below is the outline of the weekly themes:

Week 1, November 9-13:  Starting With a Vision and Self Care

Week 2, November 16-20:  Get Organized and Set Goals & Prioritize

Week 3, November 23-27:  Safety

Week 4, November 30-Decmber 4:  Financially Fit and Eat Well

Week 5, December 7-11:  Get Connected and Explore New Experiences

Week 6, December 14-18:  Give and Have Fun

 

Some activities that will be part of the campaign will include:
- Flu Clinics
- Stress Workshop
- Time Management Information Session
- Financial Information Session
- Retirement 1 on 1 Meetings
- Departmental Potluck Meals
- Food Drive
- Weekly Raffle for Prizes

 

Along with these activities will be information on things such as:
- CPR
- Home Safety Checklists
- Local Museums, Theatres and Art Galleries
- Local Outdoor Activities
- Healthy Recipes
- UR People and Culture
