Food & Diet
What you eat directly affects the way your body works and its ability to stay healthy. The key to a balanced diet is learning to eat well without sacrificing the foods you love. Well-U provides resources to help you jump-start a healthier lifestyle, learn about nutrition and make eating well taste good:
Weight Watchers – An opportunity to participate in a structured weight loss program, either at-work, in the community or online, at a discounted rate.
Good Food Collective – A local food share program connecting U of R employees with fresh, local, sustainable foods.
Be in Balance – Recognize the healthy options at University cafes using the “Be in Balance” symbol, and get rewarded for your healthy choices.
Lifestyle & Condition Management Programs – Eligible individuals have the opportunity to participate in nutrition and weight management programs in both individual and group settings.
Live Cooking Demonstrations –Learn about nutrition and cooking as a healthy meal is prepared right at your table. Check out the calendar of events to see when the next Live Cooking Demo is scheduled.
